After retreating to her residence in Attérwind beyond the Dankrad mountains Lady Haduwig gave to women from the small village Two Axes in the south of Éllad a gift of inner sight. Thanks to this gift they were able to cross Dankrad. Not all of them, of course - there was always only one mountain leader in the village. When she became old, she handed her gift over to other woman, mostly to her own doughter. The services of the mountain leaders were paid, but the mountain leader were not allowed to refuse anybody. However, a company of the mountain leader was not a guarantee of surviving. Although the mountain leader knew the way and could to warn against comming danger, it was up to an adventurer to defend himself. The mountain leader herself was inviolable in Dankrad mountains, becouse she was protected by Lady Haduwig. The mountain leaders were usualy asked to lead somebody over Dankrad mountains becouse he (very rarely she) wanted to speak with Lady Haduwig (i.e. to beg for flying horse). Since the time of combat of three dragons Gunnlaug, Or and Tanaquil there was one frequent request more: to lead somebody in area where dragon eyes were laying on the soil. The dragon eyes are precious stones of inestimable value. In fact it is stiff dragon blood shed during the combat.
